A properly based, reinforced, and jointed driveway commonly lasts 25–30 years or more in our climate. The two things that shorten that life are bad base prep and skipped joints — which is why we treat both as non-negotiable.
Stamped concrete is regular concrete imprinted with patterns (stone, brick, slate) and often colored, then sealed. With a proper base and periodic resealing every few years, it holds up just as well as plain concrete.
Hairline cracks and surface scaling can often be repaired or resurfaced. But slabs that have heaved, settled unevenly, or broken into pieces usually need replacement. We'll look at it and give you a straight answer.
Yes — removal and disposal of the old slab is part of most replacement quotes. We break it out, haul it away, and start the new base from scratch.
